He's not a Class 57xx. He is an imaginary talking train with a face. How realistic are they really ever going to be?

Realistic enough that they are not horribly oversized.

Duck has always been oversized, even his classic series model. Class 5700's are not that large.

I've seen both a 5700 class and a 1400 class in person and the scaling Arc did is just awful, the Bachmann model is more decent but still looks weird. Both classes are about the same height and width.

I'm pretty certain Bachmann won't be making narrow gauge engines in numerical order now, more likely we will get Duncan. Hopfully they do not make Freddie or Luke before they finish the classic characters.

Literally just received my Oliver today, haven't inboxed him yet but even in the packaging he looks exquisite.

When will the official 2018 Thomas and Friends new product announcement come out? Earlier than Feb 2018? Thanks!

In 2018...

*waits for comments about Rheneas*

Yeah didn't even get a close up shot so this is useless.

Do the eyes line up with the moving eye mechanism if I were to cut them out?

Yes they do.

Shame they don't have a happy Thomas face or any Percy faces, either way I'm going to use their James face on my Bachmann model.

He's talking about Shapeways.

Rosie looks pretty large.

There used to be a fair amount of Thomas community members from this forum that went to these shows, I remember we had a high quality look at Duck way before he was released.

I have a feeling we'll get Rheneas's picture soon...at least I hope so. The pictures from this year's Toy Fair were, frankly, atrocious. We need a Thomas fan there every year to get us some HQ pics of the new stuff!!

Frankly I'm surprised Thomas fans based in the US don't flock over there.

A disappointing thing about Rusty for me personally is he will have his large Sqaure face rather than the smaller face from season 4, but it's easily modifiable. Something I was surprised to see was the Spiteful Brakevan is more RWS based than TV if they bring him to the H0 range I hope they keep that look.
