Title: HO Scale 2-6-2 - Removing body shell?
Post by: tbdanny on January 19, 2018, 01:37:08 PM
Hi all,

I've got a Bachmann HO scale 2-6-2 (http://shop.bachmanntrains.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=258_276_284&products_id=1864 (http://shop.bachmanntrains.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=258_276_284&products_id=1864)) which I'm planning to use as the basis for a conversion to an On30 tank engine.  However, I can't seem to get the body shell off the locomotive.  I've tried undoing all the screws on the bottom, as well as the two tiny screws on the side.

Despite this, the body shell still refuses to come off the chassis.  It will lift up at the rear, but seems to be attached somewhere else at the front.  I can't seem to see anywhere on the parts diagram where this may be the case, though.  Any help with this would be appreciated.

Click Here  (https://youtu.be/OtW8Gx_WxL4?t=2m27s) to view a segment of a Bachmann video to locate tab and how to release shell.
