I'm using the Aristo Revolution TE with battery power.
Unfortunately ,as I found out , this controller is a proprietary system, therefor very limited as far as programming is
concerned,as well it doesn't have back emf capability.
My question is,can I use another loc controller board that will work with the Revolution or do I have to ditch the Aristo system to get what I'm after?
Any info and advice is appreciated. :)

Having bought a baldwin 2662t to build a logging rr, I am concerned about rain or water from a sprinkler getting into the internals and onto the electronics of my engine.
The cover ( top part of the boiler ) only lays of the boiler.
Offering no seal of any kind from the elements.
So far I haven't run the engine outside (not having a track yet).
Being new to the hobby, I maybe falsely assumed that garden RR's engines would be impervious to rain or lawn sprinklers.
Any advice how to water proof the 266t ? Or are these engine not meant to run in inclement weather?
Thanks for any input.

Hi,everyone
Just retired and decided to get into Garden Railroading.
Bought a Bachmann 2662 Mallet and some skeleton cars,I`m fascinated by logging railroads.
That`s the theme I will pursue.
Now, just a question, how do I access the inside of the cab to detail it?
Does the roof come off like some other engines that I saw in the gallery,or do I have to take
the whole cab off?

By the way, great blog with lots of info.
