1 was called " The Big Hauler ( santa fe engine and caboose)
the other one was a limited one called blue royal of the B&O.
What would have been the price of these sets when they were new.
I recently had them stolen and trying to find out what the value of them are. Thank you for your cooroperation
Jay Cullen please send info to trains3751@yahoo.com
look up some current prices here - http://trainworld.com/bachmann/bachmann_g_gauge_sets.htm (http://trainworld.com/bachmann/bachmann_g_gauge_sets.htm)
These are both older sets. Don't think either will be listed by dealers at this time.
The second set you list was known as the Royal Blue.
Loco Bill a regular at this site has an extensive data base on Bachmann sets. He should be able to give you an estimate on the price of these sets when sold new.

If they were complete sets, in original boxes, a reasonable value for used sets would be about $100 each.
if new and unused, about $150.

Sierra 28,
A check of my price database for the Royal Blue set shows that set was very common one of the most produced sets by Bachmann. The EBay price ranges from 67.50 to $135 depending on condition. The MSRP was $340 for the latest run, but average retail new was about $200.
The only older Snta Fe set with a caboose was the Thunderbolt Express last produced in 1992. The MSRP new was $240, but the retail street price was about $145. Recent ebay sales of the set have ranged between $46 and $56.
Good luck with your claim.
