Post by: MrMoose on April 19, 2015, 04:43:48 PM
Can someone tell me what is the Touch N Go system that is packaged with some Locomotives?
Thanks

The only one I remember is the older sets that came with a controller that did not have the throttle dial. It had a push button that when you pressed it the train would go and press it again to stop.

If you come to see my layout and touch my trains, you go.

Big difference between "touch" and "run" you can run my trains but don't touch them... >:( ;D

touch and go does sound familiar though...

I stumbled upon the answer to your question here:

it appears to have been a sort of battery powered remote control system from the 1980s.

Thanks jward,

I Wondered if anyone would find the answer, I had never seen the battery powered bachmann
Locomotive before.

I haven't either. but I do recall that back during this era many people were looking into different methods of control. the analog beginnings of dcc were also around during this time, and very expensive.
