Dear Steve,
I'd use either Dr. Mike's super glue or Micro Mark's "Same Stuff" liquid plastic cement.
Apply carefully!
Have fun!

What about more structural locomotive parts? I have a HO scale Bachmann 2-6-0 switcher http://www.040trainsnmodels.co.nz/wp-content/themes/shopperpress/thumbs/Bachmann-56501.jpg
and when I was trying to remove the shell as instructed by the information video on Bachmann's youtube channel, and I noticed one of the cylinder's had come off. The rods are still attached, but the cylinder itself, i.e. the plastic shell that looks like a cylinder, has come off and is now hanging by the rod assembly.

I've noticed it seems to have been assembled with a kind of glue, one that dries to a brown color. What is the name of this glue, and if you don't know the name, what would you advise I use for reattaching the piston shell?
