Title: Switching to N scale
Post by: Michigan Railfan on March 01, 2009, 05:00:06 PM
I've been thinking about starting to but N scale trains. I know this is the HO scale topic, but I put this under here because 1). More people read forums on this scale. 2). I am still going to collect HO, but I might start to collect N. So if anyone can gve me detail for N that would be great. Also, if I start to collect N, I'll be collecting 3 scales now, and all in order with size. N, HO, O.

I have N and HO. About the same in prices. Switched to HO because steam is realy bad in N scale. N uses less room.

Thanks Bob. I've noticed N is less in price for most things. Although, why and how do you think steam is bad in N? I just wanted to know because I was thinking about buying Bachmann's Empire Builder for my forst N set if I get one.

look in the n scale section and check out steam before you purchase. They have had alot of trouble with some. Ho has a much better selection of steam and alot less problems.
