The blast mode did not work on either my 3 truck climax or the 4-4-0. I'll try the resistor tomorrow.

HO / 3 Truck Climax troubles....
August 27, 2012, 07:04:25 PM
I purchased this three truck Climax new in July 2012. I have been very impressed with this locomotive until today. The front truck keeps jamming up. I have taking the gear box apart and cleaned and inspected all the gears. Nothing looks like it is wrong to me. All I can figure is the gear attached to the drive shaft some how become crooked. I not sure what to do at this point.

General Discussion / Re: Fueling Oil Locomotives.

Those are some great resources J3a-614. My layout is based in West Virginia so that makes the provided info that much more usable.
I saw a clip of the firebox sanding prosess on a old railfan video I have I think it was of a cass locomotive.

General Discussion / Fueling Oil Locomotives.
July 08, 2012, 10:03:08 PM
I all of the locomotives on my layout are oil burning. I would like to accurately model fueling of these locomotives in a logging/branch line type railroad. When I accurately model I mean the equipment and oil storage tank. A have not been able to find anything on this subject except a video of a southern pacific 4-6-0 beening fueled at a large depot.

HO / Switch Issues
July 04, 2012, 01:02:02 AM
I am building a new layout. I just finished laying the ballist down everything went well except t one of my switchs does not funtionfully. Only the outside of of the switch has power on the rails. The inside half of the switch has no power to the rails. I used this switch if that helps http://www.hobbylinc.com/htm/pco/pco244.htm
