There's been a lack of sets from Bachmann recently, everyone likes sets it's a great way to get the new stock and everything else included to expand your layout and collection, so I thought up some ideas hopfully Bachmann will acknowledge it.
- Donald & Douglas freight train set.
In the style of the season 6 episode "Twin trouble"
D&D with TT3 a cattle wagon salt wagon flatbed Tar wagon and Breakvan
Donald and Douglas Christmas set
In the style of the season 2 episode "The Deputation"
D&D with works unit(new stock) Christmas hats and snowploughs
With Duck coming into the range.
In the style of season 3
Duck's branchline set
Duck with the red branchline coaches(new stock).
I like it, and if Oliver is introduced with Toad, then I can see a "Toad Stands By" set with Oliver, S.C. Ruffey and Toad.

That would be cool. However, maybe we won't get any new HO Thomas sets for 2013. After all, we haven't had a new HO Thomas set in like 2 years maybe. But I could be wrong........ ::)
- Bill and Ben quarry load set
Bill and Ben with severel trucks with stone load(similar to the coal load)
Large scale
- Edward(hopfully 2013) with trucks tankers and brakevan.
- Gordon(2013 2014) with green express coaches.
I would like to see a mail train set with thomas, percy and harold,a flying kipper set,and a set with james, toby, tar, and elsbridge. All in HO SCALE.
LARGE SCALE
Up,Up,and Away set- Thomas, Percy, and a flatbed with a balloon.
Emily set- Just like the Ho Scale one.
My wishlist.
:) :) :)
Up Up and Away?! UP UP AND AWAY?! :P
They don't really do episode sets, but it is your wishlist! :)
Ok. There will be no sets with Donald AND Douglas. They are $85 EACH! I did some research, and if everything in said set was full price....
Donald---$85
Douglas--$85
TT3---$18
Cattle wagons are retired but would probably be $23.50
Tar Wagons are retired but would probably be $25
Salt wagon---$26
Flatbed---$27
Brake van---$26
Loop of track big enough to accomodate that would be $43.50
and say they give you the controller and power pack for free, and say 15% of the entire packages RRP.
It would be $327.25 I am not trying to crush dreams here, but I am being a realist.
Enjoy your weekend! Some CGI shots are coming soon on the project thread!
Plus, these aren't DCC, so having 2 powered locos in a set is a bit over kill... just my opinion.
Yes I know that Up,Up and Away is a bad episode, but that's my wildcard wish. Also, the other 2 would be profitable with them being based on classic eps ;D
And plus, would you rather have a Toby and the Whisting Woods set to haunt you?
;) ;)
Shawn's right. A set with two engines would be far too expensive.
The idea for a works coach is good, but the way I see it, there will be at most two sets this year..
.. one with an engine(Thomas, Percy, Toby, or maybe Diesel) and some stock(a open wagon, a closed wagon, a flat car, and/or that works unit coach) with a loop of track(maybe a siding?), and a Christmas or other holiday themed set with Thomas and repainted trucks. And a huge, out of scale figurine.
Yep.
how about this set
Thomas and the missing Christmas Tree
Christmas Thomas with snow plow
flatbed with Christmas tree
Works Unit Coach
Brake van
oval of track wit a siding
controller and power pack
P.S. if you have Donald and Douglas set is complete

I never watch it anyway, sooooo... yeah.
Please, I don't want to start a fight. They are just my opinions.
I know! I was just saying. Not to start a fight. To point out. :)

Oh, ok. Sorry, my bad.
It's ok. On topic, I think a Flying Kipper Set would be awesome. It could feature, Henry ( I don't care about old shape or not, just a pulling it set, not on the episode), a brake van, 2 Troublesome Trucks #1, 2 Salt Wagons, and 3 Ventilated Vans.

Great idea on the topic of old shape Henry!

A flying kipper set would be cool! sort of in the style of the overland ldt set (from bachmanns main range)
I always wished the red box company would make something like that!
Bachmann definitely stands to gain by putting out more sets. If they're not going to be putting out new stock as frequently as they used to, then compiling their current stock into new sets would definitely maintain interest in the products until new ones are released.
Also, sets are a great way of getting kids into the hobby! I myself have always wanted to see a Henry set from either Bachmann or Hornby, but neither have delivered this.

A shop called Stanbridges, and sometimes I see them in Perth Hobby Centre and City Models. But before you ask, I live in a country called Australia, not sure of you're exact location, I'm guessing you live on land that is thousands of kilometres away from here ;) ;) ;) .
~Dan Green
Oh. And yes, I live far away from you.
Maybe a James set would be cool. With some trucks and a brake van and stuff.
there was a james set it came with a brake van blue open wagon fuel and james, i have the set. its probably discontinued now
Oh. I keep recreating discontinued sets, lol. EDIT: Please tell me there isn't a Percy set, because if there is, then I DON'T CARE! I think there is, a freight one, but anyway, I gonna create a non existent one. A passenger one, if the red branchline coaches come out.
If there were a new Percy set I'd love to see one with the mail train
there was a Percy set a while back. i forget what year but it was early 2000's
