I think I have one building for you all.

Bluff's Cove

If we got a a station on Duck's Branch Line I think of this

Just like Maithwaite, it didn't have an official location for a while. Maithwaite was around since S5 and Bluff's Cove made its debut in S9. However, it wasn't until 2014 that they were given their grounded areas. Maithwaite was confrimed to be on Thomas' Branch Line, while Bluff's Cove is on Duck's Branch Line.

While it is much simpler compared to many other stations on Duck's Branch Line, I think this would the most logical.

There's Arlesbrugh West, but that's a different story.

I would prefer any Stepney whether it's his Thomas character or real life loco in the HO/OO market.
Anything would be better than his ugly black livery as in recent.

It's pretty conclusive that Peter will be the next NG Engine in the range. Granted that he's had a decent amount of screentime in the CGI era. I will also say that Peter Sam has the best CGI render out of all the NG characters currently in the show. The NG Engines were one of those characters that have vastly improved in detailing with CGI. Except for Duncan where his proportions are squat, but both his real life basis and his S4 model are lanky.

With Sir Handel, just a word of thought that he would suffer the same fate as Edward and Henry. However Edward and Henry have at least had their moments to shine in the CGI era. Sir Handel though has no character in CGI. You could replace him with "Inga from Norway" I could still see Duncan following up after Peter Sam. It won't be a surprise if Bachmann would consider prioritizing Luke or Victor over Sir Handel

I also want to say that with the NG coaches, and by the sounds of it, will have their own tooling rather then being repaints of the PECO ones, especially since none of them resemble Tayllyn Coaches. It really makes this years announcements sound like a blessing in disguise, since I have a feeling the Skarloey Railway Coaches will sell out quickly, just like the Red Branchline Coaches.

My two cents.

Ok guess I'll post my last call.

HO/OO
-Daisy
-Hiro

Not much for the HO/OO Range, but as long as it's something good.

Rolling Stock
-Flatbeds (Reintroduced)
-Conflats(Reintroduced)
-LMS Brake Van

Narrow Gauge
-Peter Sam
Perhaps the highest anticipated NG Engine, while Duncan is my favorite NG character. There's no doubt that Peter Sam has the best CGI render out of all the Narrow Gauge characters, and it would be impressive to see Bachmann pull him off/

Rolling Stock
Skarloey Coaches or Talyllyn Coaches.

That's my list.

Can we just drop this here, or at least have this thread deleted until this year announcements? ::)

Another order from ehattons.

Slip Coaches

Ok Ok...They're not really...

They're actually Hornby GWR Coaches

They're the Hornby Railroad ones, which is their budget range.

Since they're no slip coaches in the HO/OO market,

I think these make great substitutes

They go really nice with Duck.

What do you think?

Personally, I was thinking Bachmann should consider bringing these back.

But instead of paint drums, they use iron girders

Or Steel Pipes

A prominent piece of rolling stock, I'd happily welcome back.

I'm the same with Nia and Rebecca.

I'm personally don't think the idea of an African Engine is a bad thing, given that cultural diversity has proven to work with the show ever since the start of it's CGI transition. But the problem with Nia is how the concept is being marketed, given that BWBA is politically motivated.

Since we're talking about characters I thought I might bring this topic up.
Since the show is being 'air-quote' culturally diverse now. (Even though the show was already was since the start of CGI).

I thought I might as well bring up this character.

Compared to Nia the African Engine, cultural diversity works well with Hiro because he's very organic and unlike many of the S8-16 characters, he actually has depth, considerably a gem that shines in the rocks. The problem with Nia, Rebecca as well as the rest of the material from BWBA is that it seems to be created through political motive. I could be talking about the current events of politics but I'll probably go overboard here, especially on this board.
The cultural trend of political correctness is already dying out.  The producers behind the show are already late for the party.

On a side note; you also have Victor the Steamworks Engine, who's Hispanic, and Millie the French Engine, who also feel natural into the Thomas universe. But since they're narrow gauge that's a completely different story

Moving on

A Bachmann Hiro would be expensive model no doubt, but so are the NG engines and that didn't stop consumers.
Sounds like a long shot, but there's very few CGI characters to choose from, considering the most of the characters have gimmicky designs. I will talk about other CGI characters that have potential another day.

Hiro is a very popular character was both older/younger fans, as well as one of the most marketable. He's NOT a politically driven character, and regardless of Mattel's cultural diversity, I'd happily welcome this gem of a character, and Bachmann would pull off such and extraordinary model.

Any thoughts?

Perhaps, I'll talk about female characters another time.

Thought I might bring back this thread

Bought some Dapol Vans off Ehattons.

Perhaps not the most Thomas accurate colors...

But they do go nice for mixed Sodor Goods Trains

Any thoughts??

I personally think this should be in their next batch of buildings.

I call it the Shunting Yard Shed

Also used in Ffarquhar Quarry.

A generic shed.

Thomas & Friends / Re: The Future of Bachmann Thomas

While everyone is saddened by the direction the the show is going. I'm actually abit calm about this. If you really think about it. This isn't the only time the show was revamped, it's been happening since S4 ended, since the previous revamp starting S17, every season was like an experiment, and each one of them worked for the most part at least. However looking at this, it's sad to see the franchise undergo an SJW makeover, but the bigger picture is, the current cultural trend of 'quote, unquote' female empowerment and cultural diversity is just a fad. Never mind those noisy activists that don't seem to have anything better to do other then sit around in Starbucks. They're just a small group of people who unfortunately at this time, could pinpoint where the culture is heading. But at the end of the day, the average person that wakes up in the morning to go to work, and come home to his wife and kids, go goes out with friends aren't interested in this garbage, these are the people that make up the majority of consumers.

Also looking on the responses from not just fans on Twiiter, but from parents on the the Official Thomas Facebook page, and they aren't happy about the changes as well.

Response from parents if you want to get what I'm talking about. https://www.facebook.com/ThomasandFriendsUS/photos/pb.160515869555.-2207520000.1508095035./10155751034089556/?type=3&theater

The producers say this is a risk, I see this is politically motivated marketing that will cause them to crash and burn.
So yes the show is perhaps gonna get worse before it gets better again, such a shame really considering what we've been given over the last few seasons.

Moving on to Bachmann

I have hopes that the range won't be affected as much, compared to the other ranges like Wood and Adventures. The Bachmann NG range is still considered new, and the Skarloey Railway in the entirety of the show is vastly overshadowed by the standard gauge engines. The good news is that half of the original classic 6 NG characters are already done, that leaves my bet on either Peter Sam being next.

For the HO/OO range, many including myself would love to see Daisy. However if Bachmann is turning to CGI Characters there should at least a happy medium, there's quite a few of these characters that have an appeal to both younger and older fans alike, (eg. Hiro,Ryan). There's very few of the classic characters left, but at the same time there's few CGI characters to choose from. A lot of them have  small designs, (eg. Scruff, Dart, Stephen, Stafford), or too gimmicky designs (Belle, Flynn, Marion etc).
Overall if Bachmann is gonna do CGI characters to meet up with their licenser wants, they should make careful decisions.

There's my two cents.

Might consider talking more about female characters, cultural diversity, etc, in the show another time.

Frankly I don't mind Bulgy's CGI render, sure the proportions are a bit different, I don't think they're intrusive compared to the likes of Oliver and Duncan, perhaps a tweak in the lighting would make a big difference to his livery, often the character colors are much brighter compared to scenes and particular episodes were the lighting on the characters give them different shades. Also on another note, at least we now know it will less likely we'll getting a green Bulgy.

As I speculate, it won't be surprising if Sir Handel is the very last of the 6 original NG Engines. After they're done, I would expect them to move onto the CGI NG Engines like Luke or Victor. Considering their prominence in both show and marketing, we might see them enter the range before they get to Duke.

Know that Emily and Spencer were brought into the range, before we got Donald/Douglas, or even Duck.

You could try Flickr, that's a photo sharing site I used back in middle school. See if that could work. I might considering making a new one now.
