Thomas & Friends / Re: Thomas & Friends in 2018

My bet is that Peter Sam is the next NG engine.

As with Duke, I could honestly see Luke, or Victor happening before Duke simply because they have a much wider appeal. In other words, what Luke is to the NG engines seems to be like what Emily is to the Steam Team.

Also may I dare to say that the CGI renders for the NG Engines look much better than both their S4 small scale models, as well as their S5-12 Large Scale counterparts.(except for Duncan's CGI render)

Diesel 10's claw would breach the NMRA standards, which is basically the loading gauge for model rail.

Sneak peek for the Journey Beyond Sodor

This seems more promising than the trailer. The animation and cinematography is really impressive in the beginning.
Thoughts??

Gee, did anyone forget about an LS Henrietta? People were hoping for her as much as they want Edward.

I might be one of the few people that actually doesn't care about Bachmann making an N scale range, just a personal thing, but I'd actually be more excited about Bachmann making a new character for the HO/OO and/or NG Range.
And speaking of reviving a 2 year topic, if Bachmann did the Arlesdale Engines that would be neat, but that's extremely unlikely and they would be extremely expensive.

But in the end, I think Bachmann is doing fine with the current ranges.

Thomas & Friends / Re: Rosie Coming Soon or later?

No one seemed to post, but for the Rosie fans out there, unlike many, I'll be nice enough to post here.

I think we'll see Rusty based off his CGI render. The NG Engines are captured after their CGI counterparts with the Talyllyn Railway rivet patterns. I wouldn't mind and personally based off his TV counterpart. Duncan, however is very debatable, but that's another story for another time.

On the side note, I would like to see how Bachmann would pull off Peter Sam, considering the detailing on his CGI render as well his Giesl  Funnel. I think Peter Sam has the best CGI render out of the NG characters, IMO.

Thomas & Friends / Re: OLIVER HAS ARRIVED!

As I speculated some time back, compared to both model and CGI the scaling is right about in the middle. Still good job to Bachmann for the painstaking effort considering that Oliver's scaling must of been a total nightmare.

Give first time users some slack without having to be condescending. I don't think this new guy did anything intrusive. Best to be constructive then critical.

Diesel 10's claw gimmick would breach the NMRA standards, in short think of it as the loading gauge for model rail. The same would also apply for Harvey.

Thomas & Friends / Re: Bachmann Paxton Thread
February 21, 2017, 11:25:54 PM
I think we aren't gonna see another Class 08 for a while, I mean sure Sidney has broken his silence when Brenner and his team took over, even given his own episode but he's not prominent to where he has enough of a wide appeal, especially when compared to the most recent characters like Ryan and Philip even though their debuts were much latter than Sidney they've already had quite the exposure to where they already have a decent amount of appeal.

As for my thoughts on Paxton. Well, I'll say is that I will consider getting him, given how much I enjoy him as a character in the show. :)

Well I guess I'll give my thoughts

Paxton is not much of a surprise, but I'd welcome him more than Arry/Bert. Considering his doubt, and portrayal in the show. So I wouldn't mind picking him up.

With Rusty, I'm kinda not surprised he was announced, I was speculating that Bachmann might put Rusty or Peter Sam before Sir Handel, going by what's the most marketable. I still think they're going down the route following with Peter Sam next. I assume that Rusty was brought in because of his simple design and color contrast.

The LS Range, I think this is a step-up compared to the previous. While some have hoped for Edward, I think Diesel, the fact they introduced a new engine into the LS is actually a blessing. As with the Spiteful Brake Van, that's a complete surprise.

Overall, very short list, perhaps the smallest we've had in a while, but nonetheless this is a good year. Quality vs Quantity.

Bachmann Rheneas, in the flesh.

Hopefully we'll get a better angle.
