Title: Spectrum 2.8.0 cab removal
Post by: shel on December 14, 2013, 03:52:34 AM
Does anyone know how to remove the cab from the boiler on the Spectrum (now not so Spectrum) 2.8.0?  I'd like to do some airbrush work on the roof and the masking chore is a little beyond me at this point.  Thankee much.

I believe I misunderstood your question.

The cab and the boiler are glued together.  However, if you look inside the shell, there is a small screw, on the boiler, right next to the cab.  If memory serves, that holds a hidden weight.  Perhaps loosening that screw will aid you in separating the two parts.  I have separated glued on pieces using carefully applied force.  This requires some clean up.
