I know the rest of the models clip on. Might be more snug because of the new tooling.

Put the wire between a hot iron and the solder. As soon as the solder melts and takes the wire, get the iron out of there. Then there should be no problems.

Speaking of soldering: one of my wires came out of James. Is there a special kind of solder to use to put it back into place or should I melt the existing so it can dry up and hold the wiring? I see where it goes and all, so some inquiries would help.

Thanks
Just regular rosin core solder, nothing special. If there is enough there, just melt the existing. All I can say is this, STAY AWAY FROM ACID CORE SOLDER FOR ELECTRICAL WORK!!!! The acid in the flux will corrode the system and it is not pretty.

bachmann usually says that then we get our hopes up, then we get ******* because they've been pushed back to june, then we get our hopes up again, then we get ******* again when they've been pushed back before. happens all the time: ex. Tidmouth Sheds and Emily. so my guess is next year around this time (October-December).
I know your ticked, but Bachman's making some dang good models. Personally I'd rather they take their time and made models they could be proud of. If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right.

??? ??? ??? ???
Now I'm confused.
Let me try and explain here.

Barry was a Railway Series character that was in a book that was not published. Barry was rescued by the Fat Controller from Barry Island scrap yard, that means his name. If Barry the rescue engine was published, he would of found the same fate as BoCo or maybe even Bear.

This would be a good way to do pop-apart Scruffey: The sections peg together, like with snap-together kits. There are slide latches that lock the pop-off sections in. To make him come apart, release the latches and then have and engine try to pull him. To keep him intact for running, leave the latches locked. Or maybe have a spring-loaded push-button mechanism to pop him apart.
oh, like a post-war Lionel model. I know that they made a model of a boxcar that when hit with a torpedo, the boxcar would 'explode'

The pop-apart Scruffy would be cool, but little kids would loose the parts, and it would be kinda annoying if I have a rough shunt and Scruffy always falls apart and derails cars.

Wonder if Bachman is going to make Toad?

Good work, Look forward to seeing more like this.

i knew about they were delayed back in july, but i thought that they were supposed to come out mid-august, now it's september?
Bachman is taking their time and making good models. Donald, Douglas, Bill and Ben are all new toolings, so, personally, I was expecting this. Tidmouth Sheds is a bit more complex, so its also no surprise either.

Now don't tell me that I should keep this to myself but I thought I'd mention that Diesel 10 is making more appearances. He's in Misty Island Rescue and possibly season 14. He has a chance; not a big one, but not 0% chance either.
i didn't know he'll be in Misty Island Rescue. Although i think he will be in Day of the Diesels, because the only diesel in CGI is diesel

Actually he WAS in Misty Island Rescue. I believe it was in theaters beginning about a month ago. He was ALL CGI.
Its true. Diesel 10 is in misty Island Rescue, with this old personality. I've seen the clip myself. His prime mover black smokes when he laughs.

Bachman's K4 tooling is too detailed (man, never thought I'd say that) to make a toy for children. They would have to change it significantly to make it child safe.

The economy is in the john and we should be happy to get 3 new products and a modification on an old product.

I think the reason they are so hard starting is the lack of glowplugs. What glowplugs do is get some heat in the block. Diesel trucks, cars and semis have them, right after you turn the key on, one has to wait for the wait light to shut off so you can crank the engine. Normally they pop right off, depending on the maker of the engine.

No glowplugs means that the engine will be cranking for a while until the diesel finally ignites. Trust me, I have to drive a International 70 series that has no aformetioned glow plugs. Crank the motor for about 30 seconds, just holding the key over to start. Could also be the design of the combustion chamber. These were built before emissions were a big concern.

I'm siding with sparks on this, Percy might be a trial retool?
