Hoping for at least an update on PS, but looking forward to hopefully an update on the N scale range's release. Looking forward to seeing how good the Percy chassis is.

It was probably just a chassis from one of those HO scale mountain engines. There's a company that produces a range of rack and pinion HO NG mountain engines, its hundreds per engine and they use a specialty track, with its own gauge and built in rack rail.

Speaking of, would the Bachmann Narrow Gauge engines be 1:76 scale or 1:87 scale?
As I've said numerous times, the Bachmann NG range is 009 not HOn30

I mean to match the rest of the main range? They still be OO scaled, but they would be running on Z gauge track, closest thing to 15 inch track in OO scale.

If you're good at scratchbuilding, you could make a new Gordon, Henry, and Spencer using an HO BR-78 for the chassis for each of them. Two Märklin Gauge 1 BR-78's were used to make the original Gordon and Henry chassis back when they were making the first season.
Yeah, but that depends on if you want Henry and Gordon to be HO Scale or OO Scale like the rest of the range.
Again, HO Scale BR-78's. They're made in HO Scale, as is Bachmann's range. Also, HO Scale and OO Scale are interchangeable because of being so close in size.
2 things there:
1) Bachmann don't make range to HO scale, they make it to OO, measurements of the buffers have long since confirmed this as well as the simple fact that most of the rolling stock tooling is from the old Mainline range.
2) There's a fairly big difference between HO and OO, as seen here:

and here

and also here

OO is the bigger one.

Well from what I've seen so far, they briefly showed off the upcoming N scale Thomas and Percy and mentioned that the range was coming, and briefly mentioned the narrow gauge range....das it. No big updates or announcements on what's coming or anything new. SO here's hoping they're saving that for the summer.

Well TrainWorld is doing their manufacture's livestream rn, as part of their York show replacement, where new announcements are being made, so keep your eyes out, Bachmann MAY have things to reveal, whether it's stock or release estimates, and whether its TTTE stuff, will remain to be seen.

That's 4 down, 1 to go.
Well after much searching, toiling and a bit of repair work, I finally acquired and built a Meridian Models TR Brake No.5 kit to build SR's own Brakevan No.5 "Beatrice".

The model was acquired from an acquaintance of mine, who sold it to me after it had been left sitting unbuilt for the past few years. This was because on the 2 side pieces of the van, there are 2 stubs either side on each piece and you're only supposed to cut off one side. He cut off all of them. As such I rebuilt the stubs out of styrene and filled in any small gaps among a few areas which needed attention. Her current coupling is a temporary addition, with BEMO and NEM couplings currently being considered.

I was also able to acquire a Meridian Models TR Coach 3 kit, which I did start but it has been put on hold due to the solder not sticking to the brass and small warping in various areas of the brass sides that I'll need to sort out.

Well that's the plan. I've a few ideas based on the clear sticker face principle I've taken from the Plarail capsule toys.

Following on from my post a month ago about the 3 out of the 5 original Skarloey Railway Coaches I had completed transforming from the Bachmann ones, Agnes and Ruth from the red and Lucy from the blue, and the lack of progress on finding and obtaining kits for Coach 3 and Brake 5, I decided to skip to the next coaches in the line; the open coaches Ada, Jane and Mabel. These were built from the Meridian Models Penrhyn coach kits, the 3 pack in particular, coupled with bashed bufferbeams of styrene and Rodney Stenning Talyllyn Buffers.
The typical rake seen, with Ada, Jane and Mabel being followed by Cora

Ada

Jane

Mabel

And of course the fairly basic, effective, coupling system I've made for them

Hopefully more to come soon.
Regards guys

Nah I doubt that. All those prototypes have varying wheelbases and noticeable differences in driving, and trailing, wheel size. It just wouldn't be a smart move and wouldn't be remotely consistent with how Bachmann do the NG range.
#43
Realistically I don't see him being announced until MAYBE next year, and that's only really if Peter Sam is out by or in the fall.
#44
Sir Handel would certainly be the next obvious and smart choice, if Bachmann follow in their typical pattern for the NG range, the model would probably be a quicker seller than even Skarloey was, given the shear number of variants, both fictional and irl, there are for the Falcons.

No word on that yet. Certainly the LBSC Thomas looks like it'll be carrying the new visual and detail changes made for the UK release. The only thing that sort of throws the DCC aspect in the air is that it's the NEXT18 pin system, which Bachmann only introduced to the UK a few years ago. So whether they'll just introduce it to the US and the other markets with the DCC ready models is unclear.
