Not sure it qualifies as "great" but can be an interesting spot to spend a little time: The Wilmington & Western here in Delaware.

General Discussion / Re: Bachmann 2009 Catalog
March 13, 2009, 07:34:42 AM
Received mine yesterday (and only ordered it Tuesday).

I'm primarily interested in On30 but will add the "Pegasus" set to my collection.

Was hoping for some addition to the On30 brewery cars and a Christmas car so some disappointment there...would also welcome an On30 version of the HO Open-sided Excursion cars.

As Mr. B is fond of saying, I will continue to "Anticipate."

I'd certainly welcome one but I fear since there has been no word as of yet that it is not to be.

On30 / Re: On30 Trains on Youtube
August 09, 2008, 08:26:08 AM
I apologize in advance for possibly hijacking this thread but...

For years I had no trouble viewing online videos but recently when I went to youtube or other sites I've been told I needed to install the "latest Flash player".

I atempted to do so, and got the response that the player was installed (version 9.0.124.0) but it apparently has not been activated(???) as I still can't view videos.

Any suggestions as to how to get the program to actually operate?

Many thanks.

Would welcome an addition to a personal favorite: the Christmas themed cars.

From the Smith & Wesson instruction manual:

"Warning: the revolver will fire if the trigger is pulled!"

As the saying goes: common sense really isn't all that common.

OldStone:

Thank you for the reply.

Now I'm a bit confused: they say the meet is not open to the public but also say all interested in NG are welcome(?)

Not sure I can make it but if I so can I just show up and pay at the door?

EBTNUT:

Could you provide additional information - such as exact location and times - for this event? Is there a website concerning it?

Thank you.

Seems like entrapment to me.

Agreed that it's sad such sites are deemed necessary but also sad that many see nothing wrong with these methods. If an innocent like yourself were to have his reputation ruined do you have any recourse?

On30 / Double "shucks!" concerning rolling stock
February 22, 2008, 07:34:48 PM
Received my 2008 catalog today.

Was a little disappointed that there was no (a) addition to the billboard reefer line or (b) 2008 Christmas car.

Is there any hope either might still be announced and available this year?

On30 / Track connectors

The only track I have at the moment is Bachmann's E-Z product.

I like the look of the more On30 specific types (e.g. Peco or Micro Engineering).

How are these pieces connected? Do they use rail joiners or is soldering required?

Thank you.

Williams by Bachmann / Re: New train suggestions

I would certainly be interested in a 4-4-0; this would be ideal for me for my small Christmas setup.

Just saw photos of MTH old time passenger cars in white and a few of them running behind a colorful 4-4-0 would be wonderful.

The Bach-man writes:

"They have been done on a handshake between me and the brewery owner."

How refreshing to read! I hope there are more to come and all parties gain from these relationships.
