On30 / Matching Bachmann Paint?
December 18, 2008, 03:45:22 PM
I was wondering if there is a specific company and colour to use to match the C & S green and the OR & W brown on the passenger coaches, as while removing the lettering, I had to take off a fair bit of the green, in some spots right to the plastic.

Any help much appreciated!

On30 / Just A Matter Of Time?
December 13, 2008, 03:28:15 AM
I noticed that Bachmann has a really nice 1:20.3 model of a 2-6-6-2 logger available.  Anyone besides me wondering how long that it will take to produce one in On30?

I'm already saving up.

Large / Re: The New 0-4-0 Porter...

I'm likely asking about the main axle gear.  It's a lage one with a square, rather than round, centre hole.  This attaches onto the main axle for the drive wheels.

I had heard that Bachmann offered no replacement parts, and hadn't any in stock.  Everyone has thus far said to just pitch it and buy a new one.  I was hoping that someone with a new one might have taken it apart and knows if the parts would interchange.  Ideas?

Thanks!

Large / The New 0-4-0 Porter...
March 19, 2007, 06:33:12 PM
Likely this question is mostly for Mr. Bach-man, but perhaps someone else out there has the answer...you just never know.

I have an older "Clementine Mines" 0-4-0 Porter, and the plastic gear inside has broken.  Is there any chance I can fix mine with parts available now that it has been re-issued?  I don't really want to throw it out, as it has sentimental value.

  Any help would be great.

On30 / Re: 4-4-0 and 2-6-6-2 in On30 to be produced

Like many others, I'm waiting for the Bachmann 4-4-0.  I am overjoyed to hear that MMI is coming out with a 2-6-6-2.  I am now seriously contemplating dumping my plans of purchasing a Model Power (Ex-Mantua) 2-6-6-2, the Tsunami chip, the Backwoods Minitures 2-6-6-2 modification kit, and the slope-back tender and trucks...the combination of which would most likely be eerily close to the MSRP of the MMI RTR unit.  Also, when the MMI version finally showed up, my Mantua/Model Power version would probably still be on the workbench, if started at all.
