Hi all,
apologies if this has already been posted but I stumbled across it and thought it worth a share - it goes to show what's achievable with skill and determination.
This Bachmann K27 features multiple custom made smoke generators, working bell and Johnson bar and automatic coupler.
The layout it runs on is lovely as well :)

Wow, that's great. Thanks for sharing. How do you think he generated that smoke?
No problem jviss, as I say I just thought it was worth a share because I haven't seen anything like it.
I'm trying to find out about the smoke generators. It may be that he won't want to share his work. If he's happy to though, I'll report back.
According to the initial contact, he reported it has 7 smoke generators. I'm not sure that can be right - I can't detect 7 effects ??? I'm having to translate the German responses though, so something could be getting lost there. Perhaps it just has 7 smoke outlets :)
The blowdown though, is apparently a 60w unit. The main smoke unit must either have a dynamically-braked fan or be some sort of diaphragm pump though I think as the chuff plumes are very distinct.
I believe the main control is an ESU XL4 decoder
The automatic coupler retains the original Bachmann unit which is a nice touch and reasonably simple to implement i think.
You can get to 7 if you have 4 just for the cylinder cocks.. if you look closely, you can see that there are 2 independent smoke outlets on the cylinders. That would leave one for the smoke stack, one for the dynamo (shown in the video) and the 60 watt one for blowdown.
I did not see one for the whistle.

I saw ones of his videos about a year ago and posted on another site http://www.largescalecentral.com/forums/topic/29482/jens-handro-k27
I would love to know more.
Nice,. I get just about the same from the live sream k-27. Kinda neat with the drain cocks open to watch the steam alternate.
