Post by: Madjac43 on July 01, 2015, 11:15:36 AM
My name is jack and I would like to substitute a boiler door from the large scale c-19 2-8-0 for the standard door on one of my large scale 4-6-0 anniversary loco.. Is this at all possible ????

Boilers do not have doors. Do you mean the fire box door or the smoke box door?  :-\

My 4-6-0 has a big door on the very front of the train where they hide the smoke switch and polarity switch but then there's another smaller door inside the cab where the conductor sits which is where the coal would get shoveled in. Not sure which door you're hoping to change our.

Measure the doors and the size of the openings.  I'd be surprised if they matched, as they are different scales.
