N / Questions about the discontinued
October 22, 2007, 02:09:39 PM
quick query here about some of those bachmann trains that have come and gone.
Recently i just purchased an old Bachmann Amtrak Plasser and that thing runs wild on my track it is quite possibly the fastest running thing on there. I've heard that other people have had trouble with theirs so i could understand why they were discontinued. My question is though what prototype it is based on.
Second why exactly were the N scale Doodlebug and Metroliner discontinund i've heard that they were some of greatest bachmann had to offer.
If anyone can help me out that be great. also if you want to post you're own thing about discontinued bachmann do so here.

I understand that but my complaint is that there are no other f40ph's in the other phases except for the ho versions that bachmann makes and as you know i currently don't have the space for HO.

N / Questions for the Bachmann on Amtrak

Here is a direct question for the Bachmann. I recently found out about the new Amtrak E60s in HO I was wondering does this mean that you'll probally re running the N scale version for separate sale? Also when are we going to get some F40s in N scale for all of the different paint jobs.

General Discussion / To whom this may concern

It has come to my attention that our world that is the world and life of a model railroder has come under the stereotyping of that cruel mstress of comedic television. If all of you were to direct your attention to this weeks upcoming episode of robot chicken(A hit show on the cartoon network adult swim lineup created by seth green) you will quickly see what i mean. In short the parody shows a man playing with his model layout climing to be in a "happy mood" stating that even though he has naver married and never had any kid all he needs is his trainset which will take him to lonelyville. This parody may be comdedic to others but i find it might be a little too over the top for seth green and therefore it sould not have been aired. I know that i might sound like nothing but a critic but I'm just trying to protect my way of life. if those of you wish to comment on this do as you wish but only know that i wish to keep my veiws.
Thank You

Once again thank you all.....but before i close is there anyway i could get some wiring tips for the design from one of you. i'll gladly send the layout plan

hello all yu know who this is by now.  :P

ANyways i've been having trouble with designing my new layout and i need a little help.

first of all here are the things that i wish to have on the layout.

ROundhouse complete with turntable with a minimum of 6 stalls.

A Passenger Station

A switching yard

and some kind of Railway Museum.

The Benchwork i'm using is an 3 ft wide by 8 ft long and is very sturdy. I placed it on wheels to allow mobility and it is constructed of plywood.

Anyone who wishes to help would be greatly appreciated.

Also about the Class J'sdo they really require 19 radius to run.

Thx again SG
