To 3rail, Mr. Bachmann, Jack Lynch:

Do the Peter Witt trolleys have operational lights (Interior and directional exterior head/tail lights) ?

Are the WBB Witts still slated for June shipping/delivery, or has that changed ?.

I am planning to purchase the Brooklyn NY Witt from Micro Mark, the small hobby tools company. They sell Bachmann as well as WBB products, and have a good low price on the Witts.

E-7's or F-3's in Amtrak phase I (red nose & arrow scheme)

A two car set of RDCs (Rail Diesel Cars), similar to their cousin the electric interurban but has a diesel engine in or both units, to go between major cities(Philly and Reading PA) and smaller cities.

Amtrak Genesis units in the current "Blue Nose" scheme

Amtrak Metroliners in the rehabed format with added roof blister and large "Amtrak" logo on the front.

Cab car made from a de-motored Metroliner

Hi GTBob,

I have a Willaims FP45 loco, with 6 wheel trucks. The 2 outer-most and 2 center axles are flanged and driven by the motors. The 2 inner-most axles are equipped with non flanged, non geared plastic wheels. I do run O27 and O31 tracks, but don't run switches, just loops. My FP45 will easily navigate both radius curves, without derailing, but there is noticeable overhang, but nothing serious.

Micromark's "Super Buy" price for the "Witts" is $137.95 - your chioce of raodname and $125.95 - Micromark's choice of raonname (I would actually avoid this option, because they don't give you the freedom to select the roadname that you want.)

Its good to know that Ma & Pa Junction advertise the "Witts" for $160.00, but if you want a price lower than that, I would go with Micromark.

Hi Lee,

My suggestion for ordering a WBB product, such as the "Witts", I would try ordering from an actual dealer/retailer, such as Micro Mark, the small hobby tools company. The sell some (but not all) of the WBB product line, and they do advertise the "Witts". According to WBB, the "Witts" are slated for release next month (June), but you may wish to check with WBB on that and also check with Micro Mark to see when they will be receiving a shipment of the "Witts"

Hi Lee,

The Peter Witt trolleys are indeed listed in the traditional O gauge category. Go to the Williams section of the website, and click on the link to the traditional O gauge trains. Next, click on the link to electric locos. The "Witts" are listed in the electric loco category.

I would like to point out that the colors of the Baltimore Witt are a bit (not too much) incorrect. The bright yellow with bright red stripes should be more of a cream with maroon stripes and tan roof, such as the cream and maroon colors used on the WBB Cleveland and Toronto Witts. So the actual production model could have a more accurate color scheme vs. the pre-production model.

3rail & Mr. Jack Lynch,

Thank you so much for posting pics of the soon to be released Peter Witt trolleys in the photo gallery. The pics are awesome.

Just a thought though, as was done with the HO "Witts", would it be possible to post additional pics that show close-up's of the various areas of detail ?.
These pics could show roof and trolley pole detail, front/back end detail, trucks and motor(s) detail, under-car detail, and interior (with body removed from chassis) detail.

Are the WBB Witts still slated for June release, or has that changed ?.

Quite curious.

I have a powered Williams FP45 diesel featuring 2 motors. Its chassis has all the necessary cut outs and mounting brackets to accomodate its motor trucks. While I currently don't have any Willliams non-powered units, it is to my knowledge that the chassis of Williams non-powered units do not feature the necessary cut outs and mounting brackets to accomodate the motor trucks. This would require that the end user use a dremel (or other rotary cutting) tool and a drill to cut the necessary holes in the non-powered chassis to mount the power upgrade motors, and drill holes for any screws needed to secure the motor trucks to the chassis.  Optionally, the end user would have to aquire a stripped chassis (with no lights, electronics, or motor trucks) for a powered unit through WBB parts dept., install the power upgrade motors, as well as lights and electronics on the chassis, and mount the shell from the non- powered unit on the powered chassis.

In the diesel category, I would like to see commuter locos, such as F40-PHs, BL20GHs, F40-PHIs (streamlined version of standard F40-PHs), F59-PHIs, Budd Diesel Rail Cars. Also GP class, SD class, F class, "carbody" locos, and freight diesels such as plymouth switchers, NW/SW class, GE class, EMD class, Gensets, MP15 ACs/DCs, S-4s, GP40FH-2/PH-2, MP36PH, United Aircraft Turbo Trains, NYC "experimental" jet powered RDC Budd Car with streamlined front cowling, M10,000 streamliners, B&M Flying Yankee/Burlington Zephyr streamliners, industrial 4 or 6 wheel dockside diesel switcher locos, New Jersey Transit DMU Light Rail Rapid Transit Cars Perhaps MOW equipment, speeders, High Rail track inspection cars, and Trackmobiles.

It would be nice to see some pics of the new soon to be released WBB Peter Witt trolley for the photo gallery. Photos of the sample Peter Witt trolley would be fine, too, untill the actual production ones are available I was at the Big 2010 Springfield, Mass. train show at the end of January, and was over at the WBB setup, and I saw the Peter Witt trolley sample, but could not get a good look at it, as it was up on a high shelf, and there wasn't an operational one running on a track, so having pics of the WBB Peter Witt sample in the Photo Gallery would be a nice idea.
Photos could include roof & pole detail, truck & motor detail, interior detail, exterior detail, underside detail, and drivetrain detail.

Here are some ideas for awesome WBB products:

For those like me who are into transit/trolley/rapid transit/ligh trail trains, my ideas for WBB products are as follows: (yes, I know WBB is already producing Peter Witt trolleys, but here are more ideas)

-double end 2 truck j.g. brill trolleys - open and enclosed versions
-PCCs - both double and single end
-Breda/Kinki-Sharyo/Boeing-Vertol Light Rail Vehicles
-Subway cars - NYCTA (New York City) and MBTA (Boston MA)
-Metro North M 2/4/6, M 1/3/5, M 7/8 commuter cars
-Metro North Bombardier "push/pull" commuter cars
-Long Island M 2/4/6, M 1/3/5, M 7/8 commuter cars
-single truck double end birney trolleys
-Perley-Thomas New Orleans trolleys - both the original green "Streetcar named Desire" ones and the later red "Riverfront" ones that were destroyed in Hurricane Katrina
-San Fransisco cable cars
-Ex Philadelphia SEPTA, now San Fransisco "F" Line PCCs as reconditioned/restored by Brookville Equipment Company of Pennsylvania, and painted to represent various cities that once ran PCCs
-Amtrak (or other road name) Metroliner EMU cars - these cars have similar body shape as Amfleet passenger cars, but include pantographs, control cabs at one or both ends, and traction motor equipped trucks

-Budd B.U.R.T. Rapid Transit EMU Commuter Cars
-New Jersey Transit DMU Light Rail Rapid Transit Cars
-Philadelphia SEPTA Bullet rapid transit cars
-Chicago North Shore Line/Philadelphia Red Arrow Electroliners

Those 2 cars were not accepted by any of the city subway systems in which they were tested, and ended up becoming exhibit pieces of the Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunkport Maine
-"Sprinter" DMU Light Rail rapid transit cars
-"Pay As You Enter" (P.A.Y.E.) Trolley Cars
- Type S-70 Light Rail Transit cars
