Hello again. I am still trying to deal with my remote turnout problem.
I went out and bought a remote turnout to try, but now I can't figure out how to power it. I tried a transformer I already had but it almost melted the wire with a spark.
I really don't know much about electrics, and I need to know what kind of transformer I need to power this and future turnouts before I blow some thing up. For instance, how many volts/amps should I use?
Thanks in advance,
Stuart
Dear Stuart,
Any model power pack with AC terminals will power your turnouts. Run two wires to the first controller, and gang the other controllers alongside. Run a three wire harness from each controller to an individual turnout.
That's it!
Have fun!
