Was hoping to get verification that either the Aristocraft short power block is really out of production or still available new and I missed it in my research - discounting availability through EBay & the like.

Anyone help out here?

The Aristocraft Motor Block you refer to is, I believe, their #ART-29356.  From my research it has been discontinued but is available on EBay.  I just bought an Arisro center cab diesel from EBay for just that reason.

If I'm wrong about this please let me know.

Hi-

I'm looking for one of these for the working (or repairable) trucks (or truck for that matter).  Could use the hoods as well.

Bonus would be an entire unit but at a bargain as I'm going to cannabalize . . . er, um . . . give it a good home.

Road name/color are not important.

Best,

Hi Willbeck-

I've got a new unlettered Connie that I was getting ready to sell.  It has never been run - been sitting on a shelf.

Since buying it I've changed scales to 7/8ths and so my interest in selling it.

PM me if interested.

Thanks,

Bill

Just got my latest issie of GR and was reading an interesting article on batteries.  Looked at the authors name and . . . lo and behold it . . . it was none other than our own Loco Bill!!!

Excellent, thoroughly researched and informative article Bill.  Thanks

If I missed that this was discussed earlier, I do my best to keep up.

Thanks again,

Bill

Hi Bill-
Good work.  Thanks for doing the due dilligence on this.

I have a Clementine identical to the one you have pictured and what you describe is verified by my model.

Thanks again.

Hi Mr Bachmann-

Not sure why someone at Bachmann hasn't answered my inquiry?

Hi-
When Bachmann repairs an original 2truck Shay (doing so recently) do they automatically replace the trucks with the revised diecast ones?  All I can find out is that the loco would not run, hence the return to Bachmann.  The trucks have 6 screws on the bottom plates from what I see.
Thanks for your input on this.

Loco Bill-

If you are referring to the 1:22.5 Side Tank Porter, it was my impression that these locomotives were notably good runners - or are you referring to a different locomotive?  Please illuminate.
