Title: Question about the On30 2-6-6-2
Post by: Forney on August 03, 2010, 10:42:33 AM
Hello out there
Is there anyone who can inform me about some dimensions regarding the 2-6-6-2. What is the diameter of the drivers (in mm or inches) and what is the wheelbase for each "bogie"?
Please, if you have bought the model, pick up your calipers and measure it for me.
Yours truly Peter

Double posting this. Some one said that it matches this:

Proto info at:

Hope that helps

Peter,

Using a plastic ruler as that is all I have,  the driver diameter is approx 5/8 of an inch and each set up 3 drivers is approx.  2 5/8 inches.

Thank you guys for your answers. I really appreciated that you took the trouble to give me the facts about the Bachmann model. Unfortunatly are the drivers a bit too small and the wheelbase a bit too short for kitbashing this model into the swedish prototype that I had in mind. But I might buy the model anyway and make a freelance "little"brother of it, since the Bachmann chassies run very well.
I´ll try to keep you posted of my efforts.
And Chris, you don´t have to do anything for me now since I got the answers. Thank you anyway!

Sincerely yours (swedish On30 enthusiast)
Peter
