I'll buy only engines that are actually worth it (like Stanley, Rosie, Paxton, etc.). Other than that, I won't be collecting the characters that are either useless or just utterly annoying.

What's wrong with the chassis?
You know how the other engines have like those black block things under them, like in the model series, as well as the sheer fact that they'd need to protect/cover the gears? Ever thought how they'd be able to run with a standard motor?

Also, I quote from Thomas Wikia from their page: "Bash and Dash are the only engines that have their wheels on the outside of their chassis'. Perhaps because of this, their wheels do not appear to be attached to their underframes" which further backs up my points.

Remember when Nitrogen visited the Talyllyn Railway, they looked over the engines that were working at the time, except for Douglas (Duncan's basis) since he went through an overhaul, so they couldn't render him just yet? Yeah, sums up perfectly.

Btw, if anyone noticed why I posted these links here, you'll find out soon enough! ;)

Well, Don't Bother Victor featured the narrow gauge engines outside the quarry, so that's a plus for me. I imagine they'll be shown outside the quarry a bit frequently, especially you'd have to think about who'd be running the main lines of the Skarloey railway (you know, considering that Skarloey to Rusty plus Luke work at the quarry, one would think Duncan and Duke would be running the lines, maybe even Mighty Mac too, kind of).

Plus, seeing that Bash and Dash have exposed chassis, it's kind of tricky to even have them run on the tracks...

Yeah, I just don't see them being made. Their demand would have to be high, but seeing that they're utterly annoying, I don't wish to see these logging morons show up in the range.

Thank YOU!!!! I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking this. I want to add my thoughts on this as well: now I hate to bash on the movie, but it was terrible with how it was handled. I mean they could've been better if there hadn't been any major editing going on (like removing Boomer from the script completely). And Lady, someone based off of "magic" should exist on Sodor? No no no no no. Why? Because, Awdry himself based the series off on his experiences, as well as the events that occurred in real-life back in the day before any of us existed. But to have an engine that no one knows what she's based off of (or at least loosely based off of), also doesn't have any redeeming personalities from the mere couple of minutes she had in two movies/specials, people want her to be made in HO scale?????!!! Yeah, no sorry people, but she's not gonna be made at all. Be realistic people! Just like Cirkit said, you can make your own Lady if you wanted too...! -_-'

Plus to add to why characters introduced in the first movie are pathetic, Diesel 10's the only character to appear in the majority of  specials shown, showing no changes what-so-ever (CAE, everyone feared him, but became friendly with everyone; MIR, he appears near the completed bridge being "devious"; and DOTD, he basically plotted to take over the Steamworks, but acted like a kid at a playground/ball pen or something like that........).... Seriously? -_-'

Knew it! I wonder what the rest of the series will be like. Judging by the first 10 episodes shown so far, this season showed a lot of promise! I just hope they surprise us even further (not character-wise, but more like bringing back old elements of the show like the interactions between the standard gauge and narrow gauge engines like back in Seasons 4-5, not counting the new series since those seasons were limited to Thomas and James). We'll see for sure! :)

Definitely after King of the Railway. For the US broadcast, it would premiere in October 7th(?). As for the UK, probably around the same time as the US since they have the remaining 10-16 episodes left to air. We'll see in the next couple of months.

Well, knowing them, I'd say they'd price him around $50-$60 (at least since he'd be around the same price range as Donald, Douglas, and Diesel since they also had similar prices on them while I was browsing through amazon...).

And thank goodness that we got our favorite Great Western engine we've all been waiting for! I can't wait to see him in action and let him do the Great Western way or the wrong way! XD

Though I wouldn't see him being made until at least a couple of years later. After all, he was recently introduced, so kids wouldn't have any familiarization with him just yet, but the idea of having him in the range is quite interesting indeed.

As small as a narrow gauge engine.

Besides, don't forget the HO Toby was released back in 2006-2007, while HO Henrietta was released in 2008. I mean yeah it feels empty without Henrietta, but she'll be released sometime next year (or maybe even as a surprise).

Think about this as well: HO Emily's coaches were also released in 2006-ish before HO Emily in 2007, which they did the same thing with them in Large Scale, so it'll be another year or so before we see Henrietta in the Large Scale range eventually. It's not the first time they released one thing not as the same time with the other (with the exception of Thomas and Annie & Clarabel since they were made as a pilot for the range).

And she speaks French in the episode too, albeit not as much as Victor did with Spanish, but at least easy for kids to learn what Bonjour and Au Revoir mean. That's diversity coming into play, especially in the narrow gauge engines. :)

Btw, did anyone notice that Luke makes friends that are different nationalities that also speak different languages? He must have something to be friends with them so easily :P
