Title: Williams 460 PRR 4-4-2 Brass?
Post by: Bursk on August 13, 2011, 04:59:51 PM
I have a Williams 460 PRR 4-4-2.  I have been told that it is brass.  Is It?  Is there a way to tell?

Place a magnet near it.  If the magnet goes toward it, it is NOT brass!  If it does NOT, I would think it might be brass.  Is there a piece of metal on the inside with no paint.  If it has a brass or copper colored look, then I would say YES!

Bursk,

It is brass.  We only made the Atlantic once and it was a brass model. I think it was made in 1988.  It is a nice running model and the first scale Atlantic made for three rail O Gauge track.
