September 09, 2011, 07:21:04 PM
I ordered PizzaLand which is a building used in the Soprano's episodes. Does anyone know if any other Soprano's buildings being produced? How about the Bada Bing? Anyone have any thoughts? Ron

Never bought a tender before. How do you know if its big enough and is correct for the loco I'm using. I would like to use a Tsunami micro 750 or a digitrax SDN144PS.Ron

I can't give you specific advice, but using a larger tender couldn't hurt and you should use one decoder for both becuase you will probably be at least somewhat limited on space. Two decoders may not fit in the tender depending on the size.

ADDING SOUND TO A BACHMANN SPECTRUM ARTICULATED STEAM LOCO WITH VANDY VC12 TENDER

Can anyone reccomend the procedure to use? It has factory DCC but I have to add sound. Should the tender be changed to a bigger one to hold a sound unit? Should the DCC unit be changed to one with sound or just use the sound of another unit and use the DCC thats in it. It is using the Vandy VC12 Tender. Thanks Ron

N / LAYOUT ADDITION TRESTLE
May 07, 2011, 12:20:56 PM
Finally added a trestle bridge to my N layout
Took a little cutting and more cutting but was able to fit a wood trestle bridge into my tiny N scale layout. Seems to be getting there. Can't seem to add a pic. Ron

The loco must be received by Bachmann within one year from the date of purchase.

I have the receipt and its from Xmas. do these locos have 90 days or a year? I think the web site says a year. Ron

You need a receipt for the loco though or proof you got it when you said to be covered, so as long as you have a receipt or something, you're good.

N / NORFOLK AND WESTERN TOTALLY DEAD HELP!
April 15, 2011, 07:31:16 PM
Anyway to check this out? It doesn't seem to show and signs of getting power. I think my warrentee just ended so I don't think Bachmann we give me any help. Does anyone know if power is also picked up by the front 4 wheels or the rear loco 4 wheels? I don't think these do pick up power. Ron

Thanks for the info.
I also found a picture I took when the loco was apart waiting for the DCC install. Problem is today the loco died. I put about 2 hours into finding the problem and than removed the DCC and changed it back to original but it still won't run. It was loco #61 in DCC but when I removed the DCC it should just be 00. Will not run! Is there a schematic for these locos to double check wiring? Thanks Ron

N / DCC SOUND SPEAKER PROBLEM
April 14, 2011, 06:27:52 PM
Today I was running the trains and one train with sound hit a rough section of track and the sound started cutting on and off. Than it stayed off. Took the train tender apart and couldn't find any unhooked wires. I couldn't get the sound back on. Than I did something and the sound started going on and off. Thinking it was a wire problem I tried to move all wires and keep the remaining wires still. but I couldn't find the problem it just kept going on and off. I let the speaker fall an inch to the table and the sound came on. By taping the speaker the sound started going on and off. Finally the sound stayed on after hitting the speaker on the table. What could cause a speaker to do this and did anyone ever find this to happen. This is an N scale train so real small stuff. Ron

N / DCC + SOUND LIGHT MOUNTAIN INSTALL HELP
March 15, 2011, 07:46:21 PM
I see installs for the light mountain on the Internet but I need to have sound with it. It doesn't look like anyone added sound and DCC. If anyone has a thought or directions for the DCC install for this loco let me know. This is new and just tested and runs fine. Maybe its a bad choice to put the DCC and sound into. Maybe I should sell and buy one to install DCC like a heavy mountain. Thanks Ron

I called Bachmann about both traction tires coming off my Spectrum N Norfolk and Western J Class after 2 hour of running and they sent two different size traction tires back saying they changed the set of wheels they put the traction tires on. Not sure what this means but both these tire sets they sent are as big as the tires that are falling off the N&W. I went to the local HS and they sold me tires for steam locos that are very small tires, like braces for your teeth rubber bands but stronger, that must be really stretched before you can get them on. Which are correct or are both correct? Will these big ones they sent just fall off again? Is glue needed? Ron
