Title: Bachmann Spectrum C&O 4-8-2 Heavy Mountain locomotive
Post by: RBTrimble on November 23, 2016, 02:09:39 PM
Does anyone know how many road numbers were produced in the Spectrum C&O 4-8-2 heavy mountain locomotive? I have the "George Washington" C&O road number 546 set from The Smithsonian, which includes 8 heavy-weight passenger cars and a suitable length of E-Z Track for display. Sadly, the locomotive had a severe floor encounter, and Bachmann could not repair it, due to a lack of valve gear replacement parts. I recently found a mint replacement C&O 4-8-2 with road number 543, so the set is essentially restored. Just curious. Thanks, Rob.

I have road numbers 546 and 544.  The 546 came with a GW set.

Thanks for the replies re: 4-8-2 C&O road #'s. It appears that between 1918-1923 ALCo and Baldwin built 7 4-8-2's for C&O. Bachmann should be able to answer the question from their product archives. Rob.
