Title: The Year Made of (UNION PACIFIC R.R.) Made Exclusively For Union Pac. Employees
Post by: Sandshark on November 10, 2008, 05:34:01 PM
It's A Bachmann Train Set: That I have, unopened, still in plastic.   Called this Co. and they have no records of this set, because it was Made Exclusively For Union Pacific Employee's. It says that on the box under UNION PACIFIC R.R..  It's a 102 piece set, with 1 lighted locomotive & 5 cars, also with 36 signs & telephone poles. A 4x8 over & under figure 8 track layout, with bridge & trestles.  Also says; American Heritage Series on the box.  I have reason to think it was made sometime in the 70's, but looking for the exact date. If anyone knows please list.(//)

What are the other 60 pieces?  :D

Seriously I haven't a clue, and I'm a UP stockholder. Perhaps the Bach-man knows.

Over the years Bachmann has made thousands of sets for promotions. My wife's mother bought a Crosley refrigerator 20 years ago, got a free Bachmann set with "Crosley" on the box car.

The locomotive is probably a diesel. I'm thinking the 80's probably closer to the date.
