Dear Mr. bach-man,
Any plans on offering the new 4-4-0 with sound installed? I don't want to get caught unaware as I was with the Forney. I purchased a Forney as soon as they were announced and then was surprised a bit later when a version with sound installed was offered.

Mr. Bach-mann, put me down as well as interested in whether:
(1)they will have sound as an option,
(2)if they will be offered by a third party like the 2-8-0's which were available through Soundtraxx. Love them!
Or
(3)if I have to burn my fingers again trying to install sound systems in a couple of the little beauties.

Dear All,
My best information indicates that sound is at best several months to a year away.
Have fun!

Ken,
as far as know, the Soundtraxx guys have several matching decoders for the Loco, and as I know Bachmann, there will be something like the decoder installation with the 2-8-0, more or less a drop in job.
The only thing is-one would have to solder the 8 wires to a 8-pin plug, nothing more. Just easy!
Or-if you want to go the more relaxed way, try ESU-Loksound which already has the 8-pin connectors attached. Personally I would rather stay with Soundtraxx, but ESU is worth a closer look too.
Kind regards, Tom
