I'm hoping Bachmann will be bringing out a D&RGW Caboose in Fn 1:20.3 very soon?? What do you say Mr. Bach man?

Certainly there is considerable activity regarding a carrier or tote for the K-27. I would like to know preferences for such and experiences thus far with one from any and all of you K-27 owners. I'm 82 years young and in pretty good health, but that loco is a strain on my fingers. Thanks for your input.

Steve, there are many garden railroaders all over the US and here in Florida we have a state orgn. with about 200+ active members. In North Central Florida we have a small close knit club of 20+ guys. Here we meet monthly at one of the members to run trains and socialize. We knock off in the summer as it is humid and hot.

Bud Steinhoff. I would like you to know there are three of us with K 27s all within a few miles of one another in the area of The Villages, FL. We appreciate all the info coming out on the beautiful K 27 and are awaiting the counterweight replacements. Wonder if you are anywhere near us?

Our thoughts on this subject are mostly our opinions. My opinion is there will always be model railroading as long as there are trains and kids. The glorious model steam engines so many of us treasure in owning will give way to the power of today: Diesel Locomotives. There is still some fantasy and attraction to railroading in general and not to worry about the hobby disappearing.

I think that is a nice thought. I had trains before and after my military time. I came back from WWII as a Tech Sgt summer of '46 with a bunch of Maerklin OO for my kid bro and a beautiful set of The Orient Express in Super O. I was commisioned in '50 just in time for Korea but was stuck states side as an instructor. Sadly a large number of my brothers never came back from Korea. Some who did made it to Nam. I was out by then. I enjoy large scale in the garden. Wonderful people with most having served our country.
 

Hello from The Villages of Fla. I model LS in the era 20's/40's a short line in W. Mass into S. Vermont in NG. Indoors its On30 NG in Colorado with a Christmas display on a 4'X8' dense foam setup. MRR a great hobby.

I have DSL and the downloading is running quite slow

I have had good success ungluing plastic joints of many different kinds of plastic by carefully heating the joint with my wife's hair dryer. Styrene will melt easily so be careful. Use of a box cutter in conjunction with the heat saeems to work the best

Will there be a good presence by Bachmann at the SELSTS in Perry, GA?
