Thanks again everyone. I really like this engine. I am going to start looking for more of these type engines as Bob D. has done. I just picked up a set of ABA F7's Williams with the SP daylight colors. I know it is not steam but I have always liked that scheme and of coarse I am a Williams engines to the core man. ;D

Dieseler I would also like to buy some as well for my WBB Scale Hudson. Also does anyone know if the NW2 true blast plus sound is a different sound from the others. I need a couple of those as well.

The new reversing boards are compatible. You will have to attach the new leads with plugs on them to each motor so you can then plug them into the new board. Also the hot lead from the rollers to the new board. Now once that is installed you can add sound equipment by just plug and play.

I hope this was helpful and I really like the new boards as well as the new 16 bit sound system. In fact I have replaced several of my True blast II sound with the new 16 bit sound. In my opinion WBB has really step up there game and kept the cost down in my budget. :)

I found the Southern 44 Scale switcher and will have it tomorrow. Now just need to order my other wish list engines.  :)

Thanks for sharing the link. I enjoyed watching the video and getting the up to date information on the new Williams engines. I see now my pocket will be empty soon. I will get the Southern Steam engine, the Southern SD60 green and I let the Southern 44 ton switcher get by me so now I am on the hunt for one before they are all gone. I have been sorta laid back on my trains for a few months now but, after this I am getting back in the grove again. Thanks for getting me started again. :)

Williams still has the best equipment for the buck in my opinion. Thanks again.

I just measured those two pins and there is nothing there DC but did see 3.44 volts AC. Now to be fair this board has no neutral so I have a new one coming to replace it. This is the first issue I have with any of Williams engines. I have around 20 now.

Ok I took a picture and will post but here is where each plug goes. The plug next to A goes to the lock out switch. Plug A goes to 5W 100ohm resistor. Plug B goes to front LED's and markers. Plug C goes to the rear LED's and markers. Top right goes to sound board. Next is motor leads and then next is motor leads. The bottom plug is not used. It is open. Hope that helps.

here is the picture

If you open up a new RS3 it has that board and every socket is being used. Something is plugged into each one from the wiring harness.

Williams by Bachmann / Bach Man Question
February 22, 2015, 01:51:12 PM
I have a new RS3 that the reserving board seems to have gone bad and it will run only one direct. I have check the lock switch and it is okay. If I use and older board and it works correctly. The newer board has three more plugins so the old board will now work for lighting and the locking switch. My question is can the new board be purchased now or if not when will it be available?

I know I can send it back for repair but,  was just hoping to get a new board and save all that shipping cost both ways and possible damage in shipping. Thanks for taking time to read my issue. :)
