D_Gun-

The brand of lubricants you use is unimportant. What is important is that whatever you use is plastic compatible; anything not so marked is not safe to use. Obviously Bachmann lubricants are safe but so are any of several other brands of lubes manufactured for the hobby industry. There are two other important considerations: First, don't count on one product to handle all lubrication tasks. You should have, at least, one oil and one grease. Graphite is helpful, too, for couplers, draft gear boxes and wheel bearings. Second, use no more than half as much as you think is the absolute smallest amount you should use. Any extra lubricant will create problems.
