Hi Griffin:

I finally have an answer for you regarding the faces that I plan to use for my Mighty Mac loco you asked about back on page 11.

The set of faces that I got from a Take and Play Mighty Mac turned out to be too big.

After doing a little searching I found a couple of derelict Ertl metal Rheneas locos which have the correct size faces to fit my Mighty Mac.

I added a lick of hair on one and some freckels on the other and I think they will work well as stand-ins on my model.

I do not know why my photos are not appearing only the link, does anyone know what I am doing incorrectly?

Still waiting for some good outdoor painting weather.

Sorry it took a while to get back to you.

Grandpuff

Actually, Mightymac was released via Tomy wind-up again recently and those faces may fit too!

Yes.  The issue is with the front wheels.  They become fouled up with the pistons.

Got an OO9 layout going again and got some rolling stock.

I like the Bachmann slate trucks better.  They are bang-on to the Talyllyn ones.  I enjoy building the kits, but it is nice to have some that are weighted and look good.  Looking forward to Rusty (& hopefully Peter Sam)

The 'On Line Store' says Gordan, "Performs best on 18" radius curves or greater."

Does anyone know if he can handle Trix R2 (17-1/4"/437.5mm) curves?

One of my nephews has a 'Sodor' layout using Trix C-Track, and his largest loop uses R2 curves. He has the smaller Thomas locos, and they run fine on the R1 and R2 curves. He's been wanting Gordan for a while now, and I thought I might get it for him for Christmas. But I don't want to do that if he can't handle the curves.

Len

This is the same radius as PECO R2.  I have never had issues with it.  R1 would be pushing it.  Spencer's 8-wheeled tender was the only Thomas item that had issue on anything less than R2.

Guys, here is the thing...  maybe the "James Repaint" was planned, but HiT did not approve it.  The Yardmaster even said to not expect it.   Maybe there was an intention on fixing the said issues, but ultimately, the product is selling well enough that it is regularly restocked, and HiT doesn't see the need to spend money on fixing it.  Its a simple fix for you to do really, just get some painters masking tape, some gloss black, and fix it yourselves.  As long as you're careful and do not blob the paint on, it will be fine.

Wow!  Really happy about these!

Glad to see Paxton in the line-up.  A great character and personally one of my favorites.  I am also glad to see the vent van getting the GWR treatment.  It gives me some more stock for the GWR layout I have.

Rusty was a pleasant surprise too!

I know he's fairly new, but I'd like to see Ryan.  He has a colorful paint scheme and I like him on the show.

Seems like early 2017 means late March:

Retailers have direct connections about release dates with the manufacturer.

In the wake of disappointing news, I'd thought I'd share what you can achieve with kits while you wait.

Duke was made using a Langley Models kit with a Fleischmann Piccolo 0-4-0 chassis.

Waiting on nameplates from narrowplanet and lining from Fox Models

He's going to be in his CGI form.  They base it off their promos as with Skarloey.

Rosie is getting released before the locomotives announced LAST year?

I am more upset about Rheneas and the NG rolling stock.  Very disappointing and very unfortunate.

Honestly, it feels like everything but what I was interested in is getting released.   ::)

Oh boy! That should be great! Duke has always been my favorite Narrow Gauge engine. What face did you use?
It was the ERTL face.

Thanks guys!
