HO / costom turntable
April 08, 2009, 02:15:11 AM
Many mouths ago there was an story about how to rework a turntable using an Atlas turntable, I think, into a larger pit type turntable. the story had pictures showing the process of building this turntable. Can anybody remember this, can you help me find it, or reprint it?

HO / Re: EZ Track Book

I received this book"E-ZModel Railroads", by Chris Lane. Starting on page 63 (Chapter 10) "Ho Scale Northeast Corridor" talks about a railroad layout. It shows two yards, the Penn Station and The Car shops. The track plans seem not be in scale, Like all of the Atlas track plan books, the track sections are not labled (9", 3', 18" curve, turnout number, etc.) Also there is no complete layout showing how you get from on section to the other. is the complete lay out on a 4 x 8 table , on a 12' x12' L shaped table, or what? I say the chapter is not complete. The other layouts are very simple and not to creative. I have seen them on line by other sources.

HO / Re: Bachmann EZ track layout software

One more question of software, Has any one used CADrail (Sandia Software)? I have looked at the Manual, the software seams to be a CAD system to create lines, curves, turnouts, etc. Other software place track (straight, curves, turnouts, etc) from a library of parts,  together to design a layout.

Thank You for the info about the two software companies. Has anyone heard about "WinRail Version 9" software, I think its from the UK? Is it good, bad, easy to use, hard to use, etc?

Does anyone know if there is any software available to design layouts using EZ track products? I have a free version of Atlas software but only uses Atlas products.

HO / Bachmann 90 degree crossing # 44541
May 22, 2008, 06:09:27 PM
In the Bachmann 2008 catalog on page 87 item # 44541 shows a 90 degree crossing with a center hub and 4 pcs of straight track. I guess the straight sections are 2.00" long. Going to a couple of hobby store web sites they show this crossing as one piece contsruction the same # 44541. What form of this crossing is right?

HO / Track layouts

I have many layout plans using Atlas track. Using Bachmann E-Z track can I duplicate these layouts? Are there publications showing different layouts, that include electrical connections, block assignments, etc. using E-Z tracks and other equipment? If yes please list where I can obtain them.
