N / N gauge 'track troubles'
May 25, 2010, 12:26:25 PM
HELP!  Im relatively new to mod trains and am developing my first N gauge layout.  It is set up on a table appx. 40" x 84".  I have used several of the ez track turnouts and when i use the engine with one or two other cars everything works fine.  However when i add additional cars, (even 1 or 2 more) about 1/2 the time, going through the turnouts they derail.  My track looks straight and the switch plates (?)seem to 'mate' with the track and running the cars through the turnouts with no power and me simply pushing them doesnt show any 'rough spots' that would could cause the derail.  I hope this makes some sense..I sure could use a suggestion.  Oh, this problem is not isolated to just one of the turnouts.  Thinking that the little n gauge cars are simply too light, I even taped a nickle to one thinging that might 'hold it down'.  Maybe helped a little, but not much.  Thanks so much for reading this.  mike

N / ez track question
February 28, 2010, 09:19:16 PM
i would like to purchase a bachmann 44879 crossover, however
does anyone by chance know the measurements of this accessory?
i simply need to know if i can remove a couple of 5" straight pieces of track and replace them with the 44879 and have my track still measure evenly.
thanks for any help you could offer.

N / n scale accessories question
February 27, 2010, 03:26:55 PM
good afternoon....two questions re n accessories....
probably obvious, but im new....

1  will the 44871 bridge set mate or work with ez track?
2   will the 44879 crossing mate or work with ez track, and if so,
what is the size of the 'track board', or rather how much additional track space will be required.  i dont know how else to word my quesion..i simply need to know the overall size of the crossing gate part.

thanks so much if anyone can help.

N / ez track help!
February 09, 2010, 01:02:03 PM
Im new at this.....just got a train set using ez track....
My question is this....
what is the difference between a remote turnout which is about $20 and a
single crossover turnout that sells for about $60?
Probably a very simple difference, but it is confusing me.
Any info from anyone?
Thanks so much.
