HO / Re: Using EZ track only?
September 29, 2010, 12:47:11 PM
I have a 5'X9' and use ez track 18", 22", 26", and 28".  The benefit of the 26" and 28" means I can run most anything.  And I do.  Don't let the 5 at a time become an issue as the benefit over max 22" will increase your enjoyment of many more types of locos and rolling stock that will run much better on the larger radius track. Just my two cents.

Hello,
Can any one advise if my Dynamis is normal.  It displays only 126 when it should be 128, for the speed of course.  Should I send it to Bachmann for repair?  TIA.  Bob

You might wait on buying the booster.  I can run eight (8) Bachmann DCC locos with the basic EZ Command 1 amp system.  Yes, there is a slight reduction in speed but I only run freight cars so a little speed loss is no issue for me.  Bob

"Anybody else have similar problems with the sets made by Bachmann?"  Yes I have.  The Bachmann item no. 60202 HO FT B Unit DCC.  Two of these units were "bad" out of the box.  The noise they made and the speed they ran was just as you described.  The new A unit was twice as fast and strong as both of the new B units.  After about four hours of "tinkering" I finally got them running as fast and strong as the A unit.  Indivdually, they can easily pull more than 20, 40 foot cars.  The problem was indeed lubrication.  But it took a lot more then one drop and I for sure can not tell you exactly where the problem was.  But both Bs are now fixed and are running very strong.  I agree it should not be this way for a new product.  Fortunately I'm retired now and have the time.  Good luck, Bob.

Is the Dymanis Wireless here (CA) yet?  Or are they still "on the water"? TIA, Bob

In December 07 I bought Bachmann 18911 Flatcar SF with cont HO and the flatcar was printed on one side only, except for a little white circled plus at each end of the flatcar?
