Title: Spectrum Dash-8 # - dcc chipping
Post by: alex h on January 29, 2011, 04:00:38 PM
Hi

I have an unused Dash-8 Union Pacific that I would like to chip for use with DCC.  Can anyone tell me if it is possible, and if so, is there a step by step guide on how to do it

many thanks

Alex

If you ask this on the general discussion board you will get more people seeing your query.
Is you engine DCC ready with the plug or does it need to be hard wired?
Since I use Ditgitrax decoders I would give them a call, not an email and ask which one they have for your engine. Have you tried to find out if there is a Bachmann decoder made for it? If not give them a call also. The B'mann is a low end basic decoder with out all of the bells and whistles.
Though I guess any brand is better then no decoder. ;D
