Yes! I knew we'd be getting Diesel!!!
Sweet! But is that? Just simply Diesel? ???

That seems rather ungrateful, considering we have received four locomotives within a short timescale. ::)
Bachmann can't produce every character you know ;D
Ah well, Diesel is sure to be popular. Will be interesting to see how Bachmann make him
Jack

Could this be for the Thomas range...?

I didn't mean to sound ungrateful. Don't get me wrong, it's cool that that Diesel is going to be released, but I thought they would have announced some rolling stock or off-rail characters, too.

Maybe. It seems likely, as the windmill is such an icon when it comes to TTTE.
The Toy Fair still has 5 more hours if I recall, so we may hear more throughout the day. Besides, there's been no official announcement yet. ;)
Oh I see. I didn't know it lasted for more than 1 day

It goes up to the 16th I think.
Really? That's interesting
I have a feeling that there is more in store.

I have to agree with you on that one
I'm starting to doubt the release of Duck :-\
me too... :'(
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lW-IKEyEH2M
Hahahaha that was clever :D
O.K. We got Diesel,Now what about Duck & Rosie?
Great new items, but we already knew about Knapford.
Shame about Duck, but there is still time. A representative from Bachmann did say don't get your hopes up for Duck and Oliver, but you won't be disappointed with what is announced.
And where do you find the announcements? I am dying to see what the normal LS range has.
Diesel is okay, I guess, but I still have my hopes set on Duck. ;D
I can't believe only Diesel. Don't get me wrong I love Diesel and will be dying to purchase one. Just wanted to see another thing. Even rolling stock. (Besides the new LS rolling stock)
Don't worry. I'm sure Bachmann still has some other announcements up their sleeves. ;) One newly announced Thomas item just wouldn't be very productive.
I hope the Oil Tanker is not the only new LS thing. I was hoping for Toby and Henrietta, or something more than just the Oil Tanker. I would like to see a brakevan since that would look good at the end of a train. I could use the Oil Tanker, but I don't like the logo on it.
But again the day is not over yet. We could still see Duck and more LS stuff.
Well Bill and Ben just came out, and Donald and Douglas are on their way too...
I hope... I mean Diesel is great. ;D Its would be even more amazing if Bachmann announced an LS Diesel too. But I guess I'll make my own red branchline coaches.
Does anyone remember what exactly was announced in 2010? That way we'll have an idea of how many new items we can expect.
Diesel would be the first ever Bachmann LS Diesel in both lines. Since the Davenports are "gas engines" and they are the closest thing to a LS dieel Bachmann makes. Someone hoped for a LS BoCo. He would be extremly expensive, since he is bigger than most steam engines, and he would have a very hard time on Bachmann's curves. Thats why I personally think an engine bigger than James, Edward, and Emily will ever be made. James(comapring his size to a Big Hauler) has a hard time on the curves already and anything bigger than him won't make it.
I am suprised we didnt antiicipate Diesel more. He was in MIR, and definetly going to be DOTD, so I think we shouldve thought about him alottle more too ::) But, I am CERTAINLY glad they released him!

Knapford, Lighthouse, Truck #3, B&B, abd D&D.
And it makes sense he beat Duck since he is still on the TV series. While Duck is in hiding. But I heard Duck will be back in Season 15 or 16.
I thought they announce Knapford last year, so why did they re announce it again this year?
Hopefully he will. So far I've only bought steam engines from the T&F line. Now with Diesel I need to buy him, Salty, and Mavis.

In that case Bachmann probably has one more engine in store for us. Sure, four engines in one year sounds like a lot, but remember, they've had all of 2010 to work on Donald and Douglas, and they should really only count as one engine since they're exactly the same structure wise.
Did you notice he isn't even uploaded in the products yet?
Same with Bill and Ben. Basically the same exact thing. With the exception of the faces and names.

I did. I wonder why they haven't put him up, yet.
Most likely because almost all of the Bachmann people are at the Toy Fair. And nothing is final.

In that case, Bachmann kind of only gave us
one new Thomas engine last year! ::)
I never thought of it that way. So if D&D + Diesel are released its like 2 engines.
Well, too say I was expecting Diesel wouldn't be completely tue, but I had a hunch he was in for the running. If they release another engine with him (preferably Duck) this year too, that'd be great, but be thankful that Bachmann have done what they have for us so far.
Although, to get some more rolling stock would be good too. But one step at a time eh? Don't get everything now, otherwise we run out of things to look forward to.

Exactly. And since D&D are practically finished, then Bachmann will have enough time and resources to make two new engines (i.e. Duck and Diesel).
Idk. Its just weird in a sense. :P We still never heard Bachmann's Official word yet though.
Yeah, I've seen several examples of stores offering pre-orders when not all the details are released. But then again, there were announcements from the actual company that the product existed. In this case, that hasn't happened yet. But whatever.

D&D, B&B, Knapford, Lighthouse, Tidmouth Sheds + Expansion Pack, TT#3, Salty's Dockside Delivery set, Farmer McColl, LS James, LS Cargo Car, LS Coal Wagon, LS Mil Tanker, and LS Fuel Tanker were announced for 2010. Hope this helps.
im really looking forward to getting my donald and douglas and my bill and ben ;D
I really want the D&D now. :P But the more I think of it the more I like the idea of Diesel. He had a unique shape until Splatter & Dodge and Arry & Bert became characters. But is still very interesting .
ok now Im happy ;D
Why? If because of Diesel then yeah me too.
I hate to burst ya bubble but I can't find it on bachmann product info and I just checked it
Hey! That's great that Diesel will be released! He's cool! I am wondering if there will be any other engines such as Rosie, Arthur, Harvey, Neville, Arry, Bert, etc. along with rolling stock such as Old Slow Coach, the Old Coaches, the Red Coaches, Troublesome Truck 4, Spiteful Brake Van, Troublesome Tanker with a face, new style oil, fuel and milk tankers for HO scale along with a modified James, Thomas and Percy for HO Scale too! I am just wondering if someone would check with a Bachmann Trains representative at the toy fair if any of these will be released. That would just be so cool!

I agree. After all, he is not shown in any of the new series or even Misty Island Rescue or Hiro of the rails for that matter. :(

Plus if you go to the homepage and click on Donald and Douglas, it says that Diesel has been announced (This is about Diesel, right?)
Yes, it was just posted up there today.
Me Three. What good is Diesel without duck? BUT...Not all hope is lost yet. The toy fair ends the 16th and Bachmann might pull something out of the hat. ;)
Yeah, but just do not build your hopes up in case Bachmann does not release anything apart from Diesel. I'm not trying to be a wet blanket. I am just saying don't build your hopes up should Diesel be the only new release.
Yeah, Bachmann's announcement on their home page seems pretty final. (Sigh) :'(

Yeah. And I'm actully suprised that they didn't announce any rolling stock this year, although the Scottish Twins and Diesel sound cool. As well as Knapford Station.
but the station is not that big

Lets be glad we got anything this year. With the nations economy, it is hard for companies to release a lot of new items. I think about 7 new items is good for one year and just on category.

Be glad we have it. Sure it is not too big, but it works for young children, who the line is intended for,
ya know i'm happy with what is coming out this year. so what if we didn't get Duck, we're still getting the scottish twins and diesel. we always have next year. yes, i know it's along time from now but remember when bill and ben were announced? that was a whole year ago! is it me or did that time go really fast? it didn't seem it at the moment because of all the waiting and anticipation. so http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WlBiLNN1NhQ&feature=relmfu

Sure, I'm glad that we got Donald and Douglas, but frankly I'm still upset that we didn't get Duck (as I'm sure everyone else is). After all, most of the products "announced" this year were in fact supposed to be released last year, but for unknown reasons were postponed. I'm just disappointed that they didn't announce more things that were
truly new (we already knew about D&D, Knapford, and Most of the LS products).
i dont know if bachmann usa have ever done it before but both bachmann uk and hornby have released suprise announcements last year and previous years, so you never know... ;)
I hope you're right. I wonder if Bachmann announces Thomas products outside of the annual NY Toy Fair?
I hate to burst your bubble, but they do not mention anything outside of the toy fair.
About 75 different users have said "I hate to burst your bubble" on this thread! Must be a record.
i have a question. how come in the T&F products Diesel is no where to be scene. Previously D&D where up but had no image. That sound strange to anyone else?
I know! I can't find Diesel either!
Well, the only thing that matters is Bachmann officaly annoucned him. I'd say pictures are coming in 3-4 months.
wasn't henry a surprise when he came out. i remember that year i was only expecting gordon. I never knew henry would come out with him.
Hey, just wanted to let everyone know that Diesel has been listed on Bachmann's product information... but get this... so has Operating Windmill! ;D Pretty cool, but I probably won't buy it. I already have a planned list of buildings for my layout (that aren't from the Thomas line), and the windmill wouldn't match.
lol. look at the number of products that are listed in the Thomas category. ;) 65 products (that includes Terrence listed twice)
And Salty twice.
Did you guys hear:
BACHMANN D&D ARE FOR SALE ON BACHMANN'S WEBSITE!!!
On another thread we proved they aren't for sale. ::)
