Mr. Bach-man,  I would appreciate receiving a definition of "sound value".  How does it differ from having a "sound decoder"?

Bachmann's passenger cars run fine on 22" but Branchline's car derails though they claim in Walther's catalog to be made to operate on 22".
Anyone have experience with Branchline passengers on 22"?
Unfortunately, Bachmann seems to have left the PRR passenger era.

My tracks rest on a 16 feet by 10 feet U-shaped platform made of plywood and some old hollow-core doors.  The sound is tolerable but  am thinking of sliding some 4x8 sheets between wood and track to absorb some of the sound.  Is there a significant difference between effects of homosote compared to extruded polystyrene foam?  Or is there a better inexpensive alternative?

I need to feed more power to my E-Z track.  Rather than solder feeder wire from the bus wire to the track,  I bought Atlas #842 terminal joiners with wire to connect to the bus.  Although they are code 100, they don't seem to want to mate.  Do I need to resign to soldering or buying rerailers with wire to get more power to the track?

Bachmann lists two C&O 2-6-6-2 HO's with sound and Vandy tenders.
One description adds "H4" after C&O.
What is the difference between the H4 and the non-H4?

What other booster options are there to add to my E-Z DCC system other than Bachmann's 5 amp booster?
Will MRC's 3.5 amp booster connect without any retrofiting/wiring?
