HO / EZ Track Turnouts
December 16, 2011, 09:33:36 AM
Thanks to the recommendations and the help I received on this forum I now have the proper EZ Track DCC #4 turnouts. However, when attaching a piece of track to the diverging route and the straight through routes the pieces hit against each other preventing them to both be attached to the turnout. Am I wrong in modifying the connecting tracks by cutting a small piece off of each OR  am I doing something wrong when attaching them?
Again, thank you for ALL the correct advice I have received on this forum!

HO / EZ Track turnout radius
December 15, 2011, 10:04:39 AM
On an EZ track  44139 DCC #4 turnout, what radius curve and/or part # do I order to make the diverging route curve so it runs parallel to the straight portion of the turnout?
Thank!

On30 / EZ track DCC turnouts
December 08, 2011, 04:31:51 PM
I posted this on Bachmann HO FAQ but thought perhaps some in the On30 community might have used EHO EZ track for their On30 layouts

I am confused about the DCC ready EZ track! My best way of explanation will be to use the part numbers from the catalog and their associated photos.
#44139 a #4 left turnout, appears to have a METAL frog and, from the description has a DCC decoder installed to operate the turnout
#44130 appears to be a sharper radius than a #4 (no number is given in the catalog listing), is DCC compliant but appears to have a plastic frog.
IS #44130 a sharper curve and does it have a plastic frog?
The reason for the question is I am running an On30 Bachmann 0-4-2 using DCC on a switching layout and it stalls on the "regular" manual EZ turnouts that have plastic frogs. If I am going to update to a DCC all metal frog turnout, I want to be certain that I am getting the best product for running short wheel base locomotives on DCC.
Thanks for your help!

On30 / Adding DCC and sound to the 0-4-0 Porter
October 16, 2011, 07:35:19 PM
I have  the 0-4-0 Porter w/o DCC and sound. Can anyone advise me what decoder and size/type speaker can be used to upgrade the Porter? Where is the speaker and decoder located on the factory equipped Porter?
I don't have access to the new 0-4-0 factory equipped with DCC and sound.
Perhaps I am better off just forgetting about trying this conversion, bite the bullet and buy one factory equipped?

On30 / Stony Point Wharf Layout

On30 Annual listed the various manufacturers of equipment used on the Stony Point Wharf Layout. However, no manufacturer was listed for the Ferry.
Was that custom made?

Large / Consolidation Coupler Height
April 01, 2009, 03:19:25 PM
The new Spectrum 1:20.3 rolling stock comes with a set  of couplers to lower the coupler height to the older coupler height. My Bachmann Center Cab Diesel had couplers that could be reversed for either height.
What does coupler height does the 1:20.3 Consolidation use?
