I used DecoderPro 3 to read back the type of decoder in the Bachmann ALCO 2-6-0 and it gave me two choices:
It's either a Bachmann E-Z Command 2 function OR 4 function decoder.  Anyone know whether it's a 2 or 4 function decoder?  This DCC stuff is all new to me and I'm a senior citizen.  Thanks in advance.

Thanks Mike C.  This loco looks perfect for my grandson's DC layout and useful for DCC on my layout, too!

I would like to purchase one of the new N F7 DCC equipped locos - will it operate on 12v DC as well?
