Mr. Bach-Man-
Will these be promoted as a "Spectrum" set or a "Big Hauler"?
Can you let us know what you expect will be in the box, that isn't shown in the picture?
Either way, I believe this is one of the smartest things I've seen Bachmann do in a While! And at a nice price point!

This little guy is there as well!

edit:not sure why the pics are not showing?
Since the Davenports are not Spectrum but rather part of the standard line, I don't think they will ever be promoted as part of the Spectrum line even though they are 1:20.3. The set will have 14 pieces of track, power pack and speed controller, and DVD instructions.
Forgot to mention that these sets are in the 2009 Bachmann Catalog.
90070 has the Davenport and 4 ore cars as shown
90071 has the Davenport 2 skeleton log cars and the logging caboose
Both sets are painted undecorated
Thanks for clearing that up Bill!
I was under the impression, maybe from one of the dealers, that the Davenport was touted as a Fn3 Spectrum offering....
cale
No problem Cale!
Those sets are sure to be great sellers, I couldn't agree with you more on that!
When they hit the street I suspect that St Aubins & Trainworld will probably be even lower than Tower Hobbies price.
Just for the fun of it I checked the trainworld price, they are advertizing either one for $159.99. Fantastic price!!
I think I will pre order at those prices!! Only question is how many!!!
Cheers
Like getting the cars for free?! :o
