Title: 2-6-6-2 release date
Post by: petervweimer on September 14, 2009, 06:53:25 AM
Hi Mr Bachman,
is there any realistic date for delivery of the On30 2-6-6-2 DCC and sound equipped to the US by now?
Thanks a lot for any information.
Peter

The promo sheet said "fall."  In order for us to get them in "fall," they would almost have to be finished or at least in-the-works at the factory now.  Since we haven't seen pictures other than the engineering sample, my guess is that the 2-6-6-2 isn't in production yet.

Mr. Bach Man:  1.  Is the 2-6-6-2 on schedule?
                        2.  Are actual pictures going to be available soon?
                        3.  Just out of cuiosity, once all the parts are available, how long does it take to build  a
                             locomotive like the 2-6-6-2?

Thanks,
JRT

Dear Peter and James,
I'll see if I can get a production update.

There is a picture of the 2-6-6-2 in the newest Micro-Mark catalog in their "coming attractions" section.  Looks nice.

That picture is the same "engineering sample" picture from this site.

Any news?  I saw a photo from the Narrow Gauge Conventio in Colorado with at least two of the             2-6-6-2's in the background.  Would be nice to see some photos of this loco next to other On30 equipment.

Thanks,
JRT
