Title: Installing Tsunami Decoder into a Climax?
Post by: Mr. F. on September 19, 2009, 11:57:15 PM
Hello,

I have just about completed the installation of a Tsunami decoder into my On30 Climax and all that is left to do is wire up the forward and reversing lights.  What I need to know is what size/type of resistors do I need to use?

Thanks.

Did you the full size or micro Tsunami? It sound like you removed the Bachmann interface board also?

Mr F

Use 1/4w 680 -750 ohm resistors.

I use 680 ohm in all mine, however if your track voltage is above 14v use the 750 ohm.

Then you will not blow the led's .

Yes I did remove the interface board and hard wired the Tsunami. It was the only way I could make it fit.

Thanks Tim.
The Tsunami instructions recommended 680 ohm resistors when wiring up LEDs but I wasn't sure if that would apply in this case.
