Title: Thread hijacking

i see a lot of thread hijacking in these forums. Is this how the bachmann forums operate? it makes searching the forum difficult.

I have rarely seen a thread hijacked but have often seen threads morph.

i was thinking the two 4-4-0 threads as an example, it looks like people trying to hijack the thread. i guess you mean morph

I think that on this, as many other fora, a topic can begin to wander away from the original topic.  It often just takes making a comment on a post that begins to get off topic--

If I have managed to receive the information I am looking for, I will end the thread if it looks like it is getting away from the original purpose.  Others will change the topic--What gets to me are the old topics that are dredged up a year or more after they died down.   gj
