Title: ely thomas 0-4-0
Post by: bnonut on October 17, 2009, 04:16:54 AM
A party asked me to fix this. The drive axle broke in two and the drive gear is worn out were the worm gear makes contact.

Thanks Loco Bill. My friend called them and they refused to fix it? Maybe they will help me out.

Mark, Sorry to hear that,  They are usually as helpful as possible.

It may be that they no longer have any parts for the 0-4-0,  The Ely Thomas 0-4-0 was a 1997 model, so is over 12 years old.

If they can't help, your friend might have some luck finding a low cost replacement on Ebay.  The ET unit then could be weathered and rusted and set along side an engine house as out of service.  Another guy I know weathered his and used it to make a train wreck scene!!  Looked pretty good too!

Barry of Barry's Big trains may have parts, but you will have to check with him.

Good Luck
