Title: Acela DCC programming problem

I have not been able to program the address of the end cars of the Acela.   I have set the address of the motor car with no problem, however, the end cars do not change address.
Any suggestions?

program them on the main, or have all three on the program track at the same time, since the end cars have no motors for the system to get feedback from to confirm programming.
