Title: Font On Norfolk And Western Steam Engines
Post by: James The Red Engine on November 05, 2009, 10:45:44 PM
Dear Mr. the Bach-man,
I'm trying to model the N&W 578 in HO scale and I want to make decals for it.  Do you know what font the letters on the tender are or what font best fits them?

Thanks,
James  :)

MicroScale has them for pretty cheap...

I am intrested in how you are going to model this as the real deal is right down the road from me.  ;)

Hi, James,
It's a variant of RR Roman. I scanned original  artwork to do the lettering disgrams for the model.

Have fun!
