MTH makes a set of 120 figures (MTH 30-11043)that are smaller than O scale (1/55). There are about 80 seated figures in six poses. The seated figures fit the Bachmann On30 seats perfectly. Available from $23-$30 on the net. The standing figure are too small for O scale, 4'-9" tall.
I believe they are the only available figures that will fit the seats without modification

This is good info. I look for 1/50 LPs because any of the 1/48 look too big. These will fit right in and no one will be able to tell from inside a locomotive or at a distance of 2 or more feet.
