I can only find manual switches available for purchase. Is there a way to power them, or is there a switch that is compatible with bachmann track? Thanks to all...tw
Dear TW,
Bachmann does not sell remotely controlled G turnouts.
You have some options:
1. Buy solid rail turnouts from other track manufacturers who offer a remote control option.
Remove the black blades from the 3 Bachmann track pieces adjoining a solid rail turnout.
2. Pneumatic controls:

3. Modify the Bachmann turnouts to accept electric turnout motors from other track manufacturers. (e.g. LGB)
4. Automotive/truck/tractor/small engine choke cables
5. Rods with knobs threaded to the ends, with levers and pivot points to turn corners.
Hope this helps.
Sincerely,
Joe Satnik
Edit: added 4 & 5
Adding motors to Bachmann switches is kind of like putting lipstick on a pig.
Time to upgrade to real track!
Train-Li makes nice switches and motors -
